A normal day at Kingfisher’s High School (we know, high school and normal feels like an oxymoron) is a dynamic and engaging experience: upper-level classes rotate throughout the day to subject teachers, allowing for a deeper-dive into curricular studies and exposing your child to adaptive learning environments.
This phase is tech-enhanced – students begin incorporating 21st century computing skills into daily lessons – and the workload is more rigorous. Don’t stress though, we equip our pupils with emotionally healthy practices to help them find their perfect work-life flow: healthy success through balance.
Drop-off is between 7:45 to 8:00 am where students are warmly greeted by their homeroom teacher and invited to prepare their spaces for the day ahead. There are three learning periods divided by two outdoor breaks: the first from 8:00 to 10:00 am, the second from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, and the final from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.
Our holistic mind-body-soul approach to learning means physical education (yoga and sports) and emotional wellbeing (mindfulness/meditation and emotional maturity) are taught alongside our core academic subjects (math, science, computing, English, business studies, accounting, history, geography, our arts program – music and art – & Portuguese). Each week your child is encouraged, challenged and inspired in a safe, natural environment. With our low teacher-to-pupil ratio, your child receives the attention they deserve.
